TaylorMade RORS∙PROTO Irons

In honor of the newly minted Grand Slammer, TaylorMade has put a new set of irons out into the world for those of us aspiring for even half the swing Rory has. The Proto Irons are made of 1025 carbon steel and undergo a multi-step forging process to ensure “precise shaping for further enhanced feel and responsiveness.” The 7- and 8-iron have a thinner topline and a few other specificities requested by the champ. So don’t be surprised if they don’t feel like your average iron, but that’s the point right? Because if you can’t play like Rory McIlroy — and no one can — at least you can play with his clubs.
